The birth of this game was, in essence, a long and solitary inquiry into faith.

I was once a baptized believer, yet I stood at the edges of the institution's walls, rarely stepping into church for worship — convinced that my soul was not devout enough.

During those days of keeping faith at arm's length and coexisting with my own depression, I began searching through the cracks of self-reflection for another way to dialogue with the world.

I once held my breath beneath the pure white dome of a mosque in Malaysia, gazing at that near-absolute, silent devotion. I also looked back at the villages of this island, watching the most mundane yet most genuine prayers of the people amid the smoke and incense of red-brick temples.

Moving between these vastly different oracles and cultures, I saw an absurdity: the world was busy fitting everything into standardized molds, using a single specification to classify the restless boundaries of the soul.

In this near-obsessive pursuit of standard answers, those unnameable stirrings, those illogical stubbornnesses, that sliver of proud defiance — all were being filtered out as if they were air, evaporating from this world drop by drop.

When everything can be defined and categorized, the soul loses its weight. And so I began making Consilience, this indie RPG. Its thesis: when all doctrines lose their absolute guidance, what can we still hold onto before this collapsing order?

In that period of depression, I discovered that the destination was never the lotus throne of gods or buddhas — but that single moment of self-awakening.

That is the only vital warmth of life that cannot be quantified, even after all rules have been exhausted.

In this brutal, blood-soaked world, this official bond song is not merely a violent retaliation against despair — it is the ultimate romance of two unyielding souls igniting each other amid collapsing order, marching together into a death game.

The prelude opens with Kalimba like snow falling upon a celestial pool, followed by Grand Piano intertwined with the warmth of Guqin. The weaving of Western black-and-white keys with the Eastern seven-stringed instrument mirrors the collision of Western rationalism and Eastern qi. Within the intensely dramatic melody flows the cold edge of Changsheng's blade and the wild abandon of Guchen's liquor-scorched throat.
